The MX-740 brushless three-phase AC generator is a novel product developed by Marathon Electric USA with a permanent magnet generator (PMG) excitation system and a pioneering digital voltage regulator (DVR2000E). It combines traditional generators with modern technology and is a leading AC generator product in the world today.
The Magna MaxDVR generator can be paired with various imported and domestic diesel engines to form fixed or mobile power stations, and can also be paired with other prime movers to form special power sources. Due to its small size, light weight, and easy operation, it is widely used in various usage conditions
Because of its unique design, advanced structure, excellent performance and reliable operation, Magna MaxDVR generator is especially suitable for nonlinear load as power supply. It is the ideal generator for supporting power units in important occasions such as computers, communication centers, shopping malls, hospitals, ports and airports.

Unique structural design
The excitation system of a permanent magnet generator (PMG) can provide 300% of the rated short-circuit current for 10 seconds. There is no trouble of low residual magnetic voltage and difficulty in voltage building. The power supply of the regulator is provided by (PMG), which is used to isolate the regulator from the load during nonlinear loads, greatly improving the applicability and voltage stability of nonlinear loads, as well as greatly enhancing the practical ability of sudden load and starting motors.  
The overall convex pole rotor structure integrates the damping winding with the rotor core, and the magnetic field winding is filled with thermosetting epoxy, which has high mechanical and electrical strength.  
Brushless excitation method, equipped with maintenance free DVR2000E digital voltage regulator, with a voltage regulation accuracy of 0.25%.
The standard features include: voltage regulation, stability regulation, adjustable voltage/frequency low-speed protection performance, three-phase effective value detection, parallel operation, overexcitation protection, overvoltage protection, magnetic field interference suppression, and other functions.
The DVR2000E provides communication between IBM compatible PCs and handheld devices.
The DVR2000E digital voltage regulator adopts a fully sealed packaging structure, which has the characteristics of moisture resistance and earthquake resistance.  
The generator outlet box is located at the end of the generator, with spacious interior space for installing various components. Easy wiring, accessible from all directions for wiring.  
The exciter, permanent magnet generator (PMG), and rotating rectifier are all installed on the outside of the bearing cover, inside the junction box for easy inspection and maintenance.  
The insulation level is H-grade.  
The generator is equipped with a fully protective mechanism, with a protective cover and louvers to ensure safe use. The fan has excellent structure, good heat dissipation, small thermal difference, and low temperature.  
The generator is divided into two structures: single bearing and double bearing.
Single bearing generators come with different SAE interfaces and elastic coupling plates.
Double axis bearing generators can provide different flange fittings according to customer requirements.  
Anti condensation heaters can be provided according to customer requirements.  
To avoid overheating of the generator stator winding, protective components (switch values) can be selected and installed according to customer requirements.
