The YDEZ series dual speed conical rotor braking three-phase asynchronous motor designs the inner circle of the stator core and the outer circle of the rotor core as conical surfaces. When the motor is powered on, the electromagnetic force acting on the rotor is decomposed into axial and radial parts. The radial component causes the motor rotor to rotate and output mechanical torque to the outside, while the axial component causes the rotor to displace. The axial movement of the rotor overcomes the pressure of the spring installed inside the motor, causing the brake ring installed on the inner circle of the motor fan to detach from the brake surface on the rear cover of the motor, and the motor immediately runs. When the electric motor is powered off and the electromagnetic force disappears, the brake ring on the fan is pressed tightly against the brake surface of the rear cover under the action of the spring force, generating a braking torque that quickly brakes the motor. This series of motors generates braking torque immediately upon power failure, and the braking is fast, accurate, and reliable. Compared with other motors equipped with additional brakes, this motor has the advantages of simple structure, fewer faulty links, low failure rate, and easy use and maintenance. In addition, it has the characteristics of high starting torque and low starting current, making it particularly suitable for various construction machinery that require accurate braking while starting under load. It can also be used as a supporting power source for other machinery with similar usage requirements. The structural principle of YDEZ dual speed cone rotor motor is the same as that of YEZ motor, except that the motor has variable pole and speed function, which is particularly suitable for machinery that requires a wide speed range and accurate braking.  

The installation structure and protection level of YEZ and YDEZ series motors are the same, and the installation structure types are IMB5 and IMV1; Protection level IP44; The working system of a single speed motor is S4-25%, while the working system of a dual speed motor is S3-25% for low speed and S3-40% for high speed; Rated voltage 380V; rated frequency 50HZ; Class B insulation.  

The working air gap and static braking torque of the electric motor have been adjusted before leaving the factory. If it is found that the braking torque decreases due to wear of the braking ring during use, the adjustment nut at the back end of the motor can be adjusted to reduce the increased braking gap caused by wear of the braking ring and increase the braking torque.
