1、 Product Introduction
JKB-ZR three-phase composite overvoltage protector is a new generation of protection device designed to address the weak points of various current overvoltage protectors. The internal of this protector is an organic combination of zinc oxide valve plate and resistance capacitor, which combines the advantages of zinc oxide valve plate type protector and resistance capacitor absorber, and fundamentally overcomes the inevitable disadvantages of pure zinc oxide valve plate type protector and resistance capacitor absorber. It has ideal protection characteristics when system overvoltage occurs and is suitable for the protection of all medium voltage electrical equipment in 35KV and below systems.
1. When there is no overvoltage surge in the system, the protector is in an open circuit state, the capacitor is not connected to the system, and no additional grounding capacitor current is provided to the system, ensuring stable operation of the system.
2. When the amplitude of the system overvoltage is small, the resistance and capacitance work to absorb high-frequency overvoltage, providing true protection for the weak insulation equipment being protected.
3. When the overvoltage amplitude of the system is too large, the zinc oxide valve operates, releasing high amplitude energy to provide safety assurance for the protector and protected equipment under high current impact.
4. This product has a rigorous structure and innovative design. Adopting full integral sealing to ensure insulation, while having a comprehensive testing method, it solves the problem of similar domestic products being unable to be fully sealed due to the inability to conduct integral testing, without affecting surrounding electrical equipment.

3、 Product Features
The JKB-ZR three-phase composite overvoltage protector is a combination of resistance capacitance zinc oxide valve plates, which is commonly used for the protection of all inductive load equipment. It is a new generation replacement product for traditional zinc oxide type overvoltage protectors and resistance capacitance absorbers. Retaining the two main functions of traditional protectors:
1. Good response under low current surge (single lightning arrester insulation coordination is only suitable for high current surge), especially suitable for cabinet protection.
2. Provide phase protection (single lightning arrester does not have this function), especially suitable for overvoltage protection during circuit breaker (or switch) opening and closing operations.
3. Using zinc oxide valve plates to limit induced lightning and high amplitude operation overvoltage; Limit high-frequency cutoff and reignition overvoltage with resistance capacitance.
4. The large current of zinc oxide valve plate compensates for the problem of low energy absorption, unstable use, and unclear service life of the resistance capacitance absorber. The characteristic of better response with higher frequency of the resistance capacitance circuit compensates for the problem of poor response of the zinc oxide valve plate type protector to high-frequency overvoltage of the wavelet head to ensure system insulation.
5. Set up a special isolation device (non gap) to isolate the capacitor, and the capacitor will not be connected to the circuit under normal power frequency voltage of the system. Avoid affecting the normal operation of the system.
6. Adopting a fully sealed structure, it effectively prevents the protector from affecting surrounding electrical equipment and is easy to install.
7. By adopting a special circuit structure, users can conduct a comprehensive side test after the product leaves the factory to verify its reliability, without the need to separately test the resistance capacitance circuit and zinc oxide circuit.

6、 Installation requirements
1. The composite overvoltage protector should be connected between the vacuum circuit breaker (or vacuum switch contactor) and the protected equipment (such as motor or transformer), as shown in the figure on the right.
2. The capacity of the parallel compensation capacitor protected by the composite overvoltage protector is 6KV and not more than 4500KVAR; 10KV not exceeding 7500kVAR; 35kV not exceeding 15000kVAR. The energy absorption capacity of inductive loads such as motors and transformers is 2000 μ s square wave 400A (approximately 100 times that of ordinary impedance capacitance absorbers), which can be applied to all conventional inductive loads.
3. The composite overvoltage protector should be installed horizontally.
4. The A, B, and C three-phase terminals of the composite overvoltage protector are respectively connected to the A, B, and C three-phase lines of the protected equipment, and the grounding terminals marked with grounding symbols must be reliably grounded.
5. The cross-sectional area of the wire connecting the composite overvoltage protection device should not be less than 10mm2. It is recommended to use a flexible wire connection during installation to reduce the tension on the composite overvoltage protector.
