I. Purpose
The JDZ series electromagnetic power-off brake is an AC friction electromagnetic brake (hereinafter referred to as the brake) that disengages (releases) when powered on and applies spring pressure when powered off. It is mainly matched with Y series motors to form a new type of YEJ series electromagnetic braking three-phase asynchronous motor. Widely used in metallurgy, construction, chemical industry, food, machinery, packaging, textile, transportation ships and other machinery to achieve fast parking and accurate positioning, and can be used in situations such as safe (risk prevention) braking during power outages. This type of brake has fast braking time, compact structure, easy installation, and wide adaptability; High work frequency, sensitive movements, and reliable braking; It has the advantages of convenient wiring and no need for rectifiers, making it an ideal automation control execution component.
2、 Usage conditions
The brake can work reliably under the following conditions:
2.1 The altitude shall not exceed 1000m.
2.2 The maximum ambient air temperature shall not exceed 40 ℃, and the minimum temperature shall be -15 ℃.
2.3 The relative humidity of the surrounding air shall not exceed 90%.
2.4 There are no gases or dust in the surrounding medium that severely corrode metals or damage insulation.
The rated voltage with voltage fluctuations not exceeding+5% and -15% shall operate continuously. The insulation level of the brake coil is Class B.
3、 Structural working principle
The brake is composed of a magnetic yoke, excitation coil, spring, brake disc, armature, gear sleeve, mounting plate, manual release device, mounting screw, etc. The brake is installed on the rear cover of the motor (or on the flange of the equipment), and the installation screw is adjusted to the specified air gap value. The gear sleeve is fixed on the shaft, and its outer teeth cooperate with the inner teeth of the brake disc to transmit torque during operation. The brake disc can move axially on the gear sleeve.
When the excitation coil of the brake is energized, the coil generates a magnetic field that attracts the armature towards the magnetic yoke, causing the armature to detach (release) from the brake disc. At this point, the drive shaft starts and operates normally with the brake disc; When the coil loses power, the magnetic field disappears, and the spring applies pressure to the armature, compressing the friction plate on the brake disc and generating friction to achieve the braking purpose.
The brake system has a customized power torque of 08; 15;30; 40;80; 160; 200 specifications to meet the requirements of YEJ motor standards, and other specifications can be designed and produced according to user needs.

Instructions for use: This brake is a dry type and must operate in an oil-free state to avoid affecting torque; When installing the brake, first adjust it to the specified working air gap δ value and make the air gap uniform, then tighten nut 6 tightly on the motor end cover; The brake should be installed horizontally and not vertically; The δ value of the brake should not exceed the maximum working air gap, otherwise it should be readjusted to the specified value.
