The LXK type low-voltage zero sequence current transformer is used for grounding protection of generators, synchronous phase-shifters, or motors in small grounding current systems. The relay used in conjunction with this type of current transformer is DD-11/60 type. When there is a ground fault within the protection range, zero sequence current is generated in the secondary circuit of the transformer, causing the relay to operate.
