LZKW-10 outdoor open type current transformer is used for current measurement, protection, control, etc. of medium voltage overhead lines of 10kV and below. It does not require wire cutting during installation and can also be installed live. Current monitoring and control of automatic reactive power compensation device for 10kV overhead power lines. It has the characteristics of arc resistance, UV resistance, aging resistance, and long maintenance free cycle.

Installation steps for LZKW-10 outdoor open type current transformer
1. Fix the current transformer and its base on the crossbar, and install the transformer protection box vertically to avoid water ingress or storage inside the box.
2. Determine the position of the current transformer clamp wire, wrap the high-voltage wire at this position with insulating tape, with a length of about 390 millimeters, and the diameter after winding
About 22 millimeters, as shown in Figure 4.
3. Wrap the wire around the winding part with an insulating sleeve, as shown in Figure 5. Wrap another layer of insulation tape (about 1mm) around the casing
As shown in Figure 6. When the wire is too thin, wrap it with a layer of plastic filling.
4. Place the overhead wire with conduit installed in the center of the current transformer, symmetrically in front and behind, as shown in Figure 7.
5. Apply silicone evenly on the joint surface of the upper and lower halves of the current transformer, align and fix them together, as shown in Figure 8.
6. Wrap the metal braided wire on the CT with a primary wire using metal binding wire to maintain equipotential.
7. Place the protective cover on the CT and fasten the buttons (8 pieces) as shown in Figure 9.
8. Connect the secondary wire (using a 2.5mm2 cable) between the CT protection box and the controller according to Figure 1, and ensure reliable grounding at the grounding end.
Attention: Install a lightning arrester next to the LZKW-10 current transformer to prevent lightning strikes.
