1、 Characteristics and Applications
The ZSN4 series DC motor is a specialized series developed by our company based on the Z4 series DC motor and the working conditions of the main drive of the cement rotary kiln.
This series of motors adopts an octagonal structure, with high utilization of stator space. The stator yoke is laminated and can withstand fluctuating currents and rapid changes in current. The motor is suitable for three-phase fully controlled bridge rectifier power supply and long-term operation without external DC smoothing reactors. The novel F-class insulation structure ensures the stability of insulation and good heat dissipation. Design and manufacture according to the specific working conditions of the cement rotary kiln, so that the starting torque of the motor can reach 2.5 times the rated torque. The cooling method of using pipeline ventilation or air-water cooler enables the motor to operate safely and reliably in harsh environments with high dust.
The performance of the ZSN4 series cement rotary kiln main drive DC motor complies with the national GB755-2000 "Rotating Electrical Machinery Rating and Performance" and can also be assessed according to the international standard IE34-1. The installation dimensions of the motor, except for the "B" dimension, comply with the IEC72 international standard.
2、 Model Description

3、 Performance of ZSN4 series cement rotary kiln main drive DC motor
1. The data in the technical data sheet should work according to the following usage conditions:
a. Altitude not exceeding 1000m
b. The temperature of the primary cooling medium entering the motor shall not exceed 40 ℃
c. The motor operates continuously (S1)
d. The armature circuit and excitation of the motor can be powered by a static rectifier power supply or by a DC generator.
e. The air volume and pressure of the motor for pipeline ventilation and cooling must meet the requirements in the table below, and the air inlet should be located on the non commutator side end cover of the motor.

2. The insulation level of the motor is Class F.
3. The standard voltage of the motor is 440V, and the excitation voltage is 180V. Other voltage levels and excitation voltage levels can be derived according to user requirements.
To ensure reliable insulation of the excitation system, a release resistor should be connected in parallel at both ends of the excitation winding when disconnecting the excitation circuit to prevent self induced potential. At standard excitation voltage, its value is about 7 times the excitation winding resistance (cold state). When the excitation voltage is higher than the standard voltage, the parallel release resistance can be less than 7 times, and vice versa, it can be greater than 7 times.
5. The ZSN4-225 machine base motor is equipped with a series winding, while other machine base sizes are equipped with compensation windings.
4、 Structural characteristics
1. The cooling method and shell protection level of the motor are shown in the following table:

2. Installation form of motor: horizontal foot installation (IMB3). Motors can be manufactured as dual axis or single axis extension motors, and single axis extension motors can be equipped with speed measuring components (speed measuring generators, photoelectric encoders) and other corresponding accessories at the non transmission end.
3. Overheating protection components can be embedded in the stator winding of the motor as needed.
5、 Ordering Instructions
When placing an order, please specify the motor model, power, voltage, speed, structural form, excitation voltage, outlet box, location, and the model and quantity of the complete set of accessories (speed measuring components, overheating protection components) that need to be assembled. If a wet heat type is required, please add "TH" after the prototype number.
