1、 Usage and performance
The JTZ-120 gap automatic compensation electromagnetic power-off brake is a friction brake that applies spring pressure after power failure. It is widely used in construction, lifting, metallurgy and other machinery, and can also be combined with motors to form new brake motors. It is suitable for brake motors with high braking torque requirements, achieving reliable parking and positioning. It can be used for safe (anti danger) braking and other occasions during power failure.
The JTZ-120 gap automatic compensation electromagnetic power-off brake has the characteristics of compact structure, easy installation, reliable action, and adjustable torque. Compared with other brakes, this brake has a special effect of automatic gap compensation. It is especially suitable for high-altitude operation and other places where it is inconvenient to adjust after gap wear becomes larger. It is an ideal automatic control element in modern metallurgy, construction and other industries.
The JTZ-120 gap automatic compensation electromagnetic power-off brake can reliably operate under the following conditions:
1. The altitude shall not exceed 1000m
2. The maximum ambient air temperature shall not exceed+40 ℃, and the minimum temperature shall be -15 ℃;
3. The relative humidity of the surrounding air should not exceed 90%;
4. There is no gas or dust in the surrounding medium that can corrode metals and damage insulation;
5. The brake coil adopts B-level insulation, with voltage fluctuations not exceeding+5% and -15% of the rated working voltage, and its working mode is continuous operation.
2、 Structure and working principle
The brake is composed of a magnetic yoke, coil, armature, brake disc, fixed brake disc, brake stopper, rear cover, manual release device, spring, etc. (as shown in Figure 1). The brake disc is connected to the drive shaft. When the excitation coil of the brake is energized, magnetic flux is generated, which attracts the armature towards the magnetic yoke. The braking state is released, and the drive shaft is in a free state. When the power is cut off, the compressed main spring applies pressure to the armature, causing the brake disc and the fixed brake disc to be tightly pressed together, generating a braking torque that is transmitted to the shaft through the gears on the brake disc to achieve the braking purpose. Due to the function of the brake, the gap between the armature and the magnetic yoke remains stable, unaffected by brake disc wear, achieving the goal of automatic gap compensation. The manual release device is used to manually release the braking state while in the braking state.

4、 Installation and use
Before installing the brake, the oil and debris on the surface of the friction pair should be removed to avoid affecting the torque.
2. The brake should be installed horizontally and not vertically.
3. The adjustment sleeve can adjust the braking torque, which has been adjusted to the rated value at the factory.
When the brake disc is worn out and cannot be used, it should be replaced with a new one.
5. Due to the high back electromotive force at both ends of the coil when the brake is powered off, it is easy to damage the insulation of the coil. Therefore, users must connect a freewheeling diode and a discharge resistor at both ends of the coil during installation to protect the coil from high back electromotive force damage.
