1.2 The discharge counter is mainly composed of a signal input circuit, a discharge counting circuit, and a protection circuit. When the lightning arrester is activated, a dual pointer counter is used to accumulate and record the number of discharges. The long pointer counts in units and automatically returns to zero after reaching full capacity. The short pointer counts in ten units, with one unit counting ten times. It works in a cycle counting mode and has the characteristic of recording multiple times.
