I. Purpose
DZD2-5A electromagnetic brake is suitable for the spindle braking of FA506, FA502 and other models of fine yarn machines when parked in the appropriate position. It is also applicable to other mechanical transmission systems such as positioning brakes.
2、 Usage conditions
Electromagnetic brakes can operate reliably under the following conditions.
1. The relative humidity of the surrounding air is not greater than 85%;
2. There is no gas or dust in the surrounding medium that can corrode metals and damage insulation;
3. The brake coil adopts B-level insulation, and the rated working voltage fluctuation does not exceed+5%~-15%;
3、 Working principle and performance characteristics
The DZD2-5A electromagnetic brake mainly consists of two parts: the excitation part (yoke, coil, friction plate) and the connecting assembly (connection, armature, spring plate) (see Figure 1). When the excitation coil is energized, magnetic flux is generated, and the magnetic yoke attracts the armature, closing the magnetic circuit. Thus, friction torque is generated to brake the transmission part. When the coil is powered off, the armature is released back to its original position under the action of the spring plate, releasing the brake. This brake belongs to the dry single piece type, which has no no-load torque, short on and off time, long service life, stable performance, compact structure, easy installation and maintenance, and is the most ideal automation actuator in textile machinery.

6、 Installation and use
1. The surface of the friction plate and the surface of the armature must be free of oil stains, and must be cleaned thoroughly before installation.
2. Fix the excitation part on the base with screws, and connect the coupling assembly to the transmission shaft in a fixed manner (without shaft displacement).
3. The initial installation working air gap between the excitation part working surface and the armature working surface is δ=0.5mm
4. The brake does not need to be adjusted frequently during use, and in long-term continuous operation, the clearance is too large due to the wear of the friction surface. When it cannot be closed normally, the working air gap should be readjusted.
