2. Action principle and structural characteristics
2.1 Action principle
When a direct current voltage is applied to the coil of the relay, current flows through the coil, magnetizing the iron core and attracting the moving piece. The contact piece is pushed by the other end of the passive piece, causing the moving contact to close and the moving contact to open.
When the coil loses power, the magnetic force disappears and the moving piece returns to its original position under the pressure of the contact system.
2.2 Structural Features
This relay is an electromagnetic fast acting intermediate relay, consisting of four parts: iron core, yoke plate, rotor, coil, and contact system.
The relay adopts a plug-in structure, and there are leaf springs inside the socket to ensure reliable contact. When in use, the relay is inserted into the socket. In order to prevent the relay from sliding out of the socket due to vibration, a spring ring is installed between the relay and the socket. If it is fixedly installed, the socket can be omitted and the wiring can be directly welded to the base plate of the relay.
The relay has a transparent plastic casing for observing its operation.
