1 Purpose
DX-8 signal relay, used as an action indicator in DC operated protection and automatic control circuits.
2 Working principle and structure
2.1 The relay is an electromagnetic relay. It consists of an electromagnetic system, dynamic and static contacts, and signal indicators. When the coil is conducting, the armature is attracted and the signal board falls, and at the same time, the moving contact closes. The signal board is mechanically held and manually reset.
2.2 Relays have two structures:
2.2.1 Protruding plug-in structure. Adopting Aji JK-5 shell, its outline and opening diagram are shown inAppendix IThe internal wiring of the relay is shown in Figure 1.
2.2.2 Embedded plug-in structure (with/Q in the model). Using the Xuji A11K shell, its external shape and opening diagram are shown inAppendix IIThe internal wiring of the relay is shown in Figure 2.

4 Technical data
4.1 Action Value
Voltage type: not exceeding 70% of the rated voltage;
Current type: not exceeding 90% of the rated current.
4.2 Action time
When a voltage type relay applies rated voltage and a current type relay applies 120% of rated current, the relay will move
The production time should not exceed 30ms.
4.3 Signal display time
When 1.1 times the rated value is applied, the signal indicator should display at 0.05s.
When the relay operates, its signal indicator should immediately reach the final position, and there should be a significant signal change before and after the operation. After the excitation amount of the coil disappears, its signal indicator should retain the position it reached after its action.
4.5 Contact Capacity
In a DC inductive load circuit with a voltage not exceeding 250V and a current not exceeding 2A and a time constant of 5 × 10-3s, the contact connection and disconnection capacity is 50W. In an AC circuit with a voltage not exceeding 250V and a current not exceeding 2A and a power factor of 0.4 ± 0.1, the contact connection and disconnection capacity is 250VA.
4.6 Power consumption
Voltage type relays have a power consumption of no more than 3W at rated voltage. Current type relays have a power consumption of no more than 0.3W at rated current.
4.7 Electrical lifespan: 1000 cycles.
4.8 Relay can withstand a dielectric strength test of AC voltage of 2kV, 50Hz for 1 minute.
4.9 Relay weight: approximately 0.4kg.
