Application of DXM-2A Signal Relay
DXM-2A signal relay is used in DC operation protection and automatic control circuits as an action indicator for remote reset.
Working principle and structure of DXM-2A signal relay
2.1 The relay is a reed switch type relay. It consists of a reed switch, a working winding, a release winding, a self-locking permanent magnet, and an indicator light. When the working winding is conducting, the magnetic field generated by the coil is of the same polarity as the permanent magnet placed inside the coil, and the magnetic flux is superimposed, causing the contacts inside the reed switch to close and the red signal light to turn on. After the working winding loses power, the contacts are held by permanent magnets. When the winding is released for conduction, the magnet generated by the coil has the opposite polarity to the permanent magnet, causing the contact to return and the signal light to turn off.
2.2 Relays have two structures:
2.2.1 Protruding plug-in structure. Adopting Aji JK-5 shell (horizontal), its outline and opening diagram are shown inAppendix IThe internal wiring of the relay is shown in Figure 1.
2.2.2 Embedded plug-in structure (with/Q in the model). Using the Xuji A11K shell, its external shape and opening diagram are shown inAppendix IIThe internal wiring of the relay is shown in Figure 2.

4 Technical data
4.1 Action Value
Voltage type: not exceeding 70% of the rated voltage;
Current type: not exceeding 90% of the rated current.
4.2 Release value
The release voltage shall not exceed 70% of the rated voltage of the release winding.
4.3 Action and release time
When the rated voltage is applied to the working winding of the relay, the action time shall not exceed 5ms. When the rated voltage is applied to the release winding of the relay, the release time shall not exceed 5ms.
After the relay is activated, the working winding should be disconnected, and the relay should remain in the activated state. The signal light should remain on continuously.
4.5 Contact breaking capacity
In DC inductive load circuits with voltage not exceeding 250V, current not exceeding 0.2A, and time constant of 5 × 10-3s, it is 10W; in DC resistive circuits, it is 3OW.
4.6 Power consumption
The current working winding shall not exceed 0.15W. The voltage working winding shall not exceed 2W. The release winding shall not exceed 3.5W.
4.7 Electrical lifespan: 5000 cycles.
4.8 Relay can withstand a dielectric test of AC voltage of 2kV, 50Hz for 1 minute.
4.9 Relay weight: approximately 0.4kg.
