1 Overview
1.1 Purpose
The DX-4A signal relay is mainly used in the relay protection lines of secondary circuits in power systems as an action indication signal.
1.2 Model and meaning
The product signal of DX-4A signal relay is specified as follows:

1.3 This signal relay is used in DC operated protection circuits as an action indicator. The normal operating conditions for relays are:
1.3.1 Environmental temperature: -25~+40 ℃
1.3.2 Altitude equal to or less than 2000m;
1.3.3 Relative humidity of surrounding air: The monthly average maximum relative humidity of the wettest month is 90%, and the monthly average minimum temperature of that month is 25 ℃;
1.3.4 The deviation of the installation position from the base axis of its installation vertical plane shall not exceed 5 ° in any direction;
1.3.5 The impact acceleration at the location of use shall not exceed 15g;
1.3.6 The usage location does not allow explosive media, and the surrounding media should not contain corrosive metals, gases that damage insulation, or conductive media. It is not allowed to be filled with water vapor or have serious mold;
1.3.7 The usage location should have facilities to protect against rain, snow, wind, and sand.
Note: The normal operating conditions of tropical relays should be determined according to the requirements of tropical regions.
2 Basic Structure and Working Principle
The DX-4A series relay is an electromagnetic decoupling display relay that outputs both mechanical hold and momentary action contacts. It has the functions of manual or electrical reset, as well as two card drops. After the first action, it displays a red band, and after the second action, it displays two red bands. Due to the small mass and moment of inertia of the moving plate system, as well as the application of pre pressure and the use of a decoupling mechanism, it has good seismic resistance and low power consumption. 3 Main technical performance and parameters
3.1 Rated value
The rated values of the relay working winding are: DC 6, 12, 24, 48, 110, 220V or 0.01, 0.015, 0.02, 0.025, 0.03, 0.04, 0.05, 0.075, 0.08, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 2, 4A. The rated values of the relay electrical return winding are: 6, 12, 24, 48, 110, 220V.
3.2 Action value and reset value
a. The operating voltage shall not exceed 70% of the rated value.
b. The operating current shall not exceed 90% of the rated value.
c. The reset voltage shall not exceed 70% of the rated value.
3.3 The return value shall not be less than 2% of the rated value.
3.4 Power consumption
Working winding: voltage type not exceeding 2W.
The current type is not greater than 0.2W.
3.5 Contact Capacity
Maintain the contact in a DC inductive circuit with a voltage of 220V and a current not exceeding lA (time constant of 5 ± 0.75ms), with a breaking capacity of 50W and a momentary contact of 30W. In an AC circuit with a current not exceeding lA at 220V, the breaking capacity is 200VA.
3.6 Dielectric withstand voltage
The conductive part of the relay can withstand AC 50Hz, 2000V, and 1min test between the non charged metal part and the shell.
3.7 Impact resistance performance
Can withstand 15g acceleration impact without losing cards.
3.8 Thermal stability
When the ambient temperature is 40 ℃, the voltage winding should be continuously energized at 110% of the rated voltage, and the current winding should be continuously energized at the rated current. The temperature rise of the winding should not exceed 65 ℃, and the return winding should not be energized for more than 20 seconds at a time. The winding should be energized intermittently, and the ratio of on-off time should not exceed 1:8.
3.9 Lifespan: Electrical lifespan 1000 times; Mechanical lifespan of 10000 cycles.
3.10 This relay usually does not require maintenance, but it should be checked annually to ensure that the circuit breaker is flexible and the working voltage coil is not disconnected.
