LMZ-II (formerly MLL-II) type brake wheel plum blossom shaped elastic coupling (GB5272-2002 replaces GB5272-85)
The plum blossom shaped elastic coupling is composed of two half couplings with identical claw shapes and elastic elements. The plum blossom shaped elastic elements are placed between the two half coupling claws to achieve the connection of the two half couplings. It has the characteristics of compensating for relative offset between two axes, vibration reduction, buffering, small radial size, simple structure, no need for lubrication, high load-bearing capacity, and easy maintenance. However, when replacing the elastic element, the two half couplings need to move along the axial direction. Suitable for connecting two coaxial lines, frequent starting, forward and reverse rotation changes, medium and low speed, medium and small power transmission shaft systems, and requiring high working reliability. Not suitable for heavy loads and parts with limited axial dimensions, where it is difficult to align the two axes after replacing elastic components.
After the standard revision, there are two types of materials for the plum blossom shaped elastic element: polyurethane and cast nylon. Select different materials according to different working conditions, such as fans, water pumps, light industry, textiles, etc. When the work is stable and the load changes are not significant, polyurethane can be used. The price difference between the two materials is significant.

Note: 1. Mass and moment of inertia are approximate values calculated based on the material being cast steel, L recommendation, and maximum shaft hole.
2. The diameter of the shaft hole marked with * can be used for Z-shaped shaft holes.
3. a and b are hardness codes for two types of elastic materials.
