Scope of application
The DW16 series universal circuit breaker (hereinafter referred to as the circuit breaker) is suitable for distribution networks with AC 50Hz, rated current of 100A to 4000A, and rated working voltage of 400V or 690V. It is used to distribute electrical energy, protect lines and power equipment from overload, undervoltage, and short circuit. Under normal conditions, it can be used for infrequent line switching. Circuit breakers with a rated current of 160A to 630A can also be used for single-phase metallic short-circuit protection in TN distribution systems where the neutral point of the transformer is directly grounded. DW16-630 can also be used for overload, undervoltage, and short-circuit protection of electric motors in AC 50Hz, 380V networks, and can be used for infrequent starting of electric motors under normal conditions.
This product complies with GB14048.2 and JB8590.2 standards.
Model and its meaning
structural characteristics
The DW16 series universal circuit breaker has manual (Inm ≤ 2000A), lever drive (Inm ≥ 2000A), and motor operation modes. The overcurrent protection has overload long delay and short-circuit instantaneous action release, and the single-phase grounding protection has instantaneous or delayed action release.
The instantaneous overcurrent release of the circuit breaker is electromagnetic, and the overload long delay release is composed of a current transformer and a bimetallic thermal relay. The single-phase grounding protection release is composed of a current transformer (3TA or 4TA), a grounding component, and a shunt release. The grounding component has two types: electronic and electromagnetic, which can be selected by the user.
The contact of the circuit breaker is made of special ceramic alloy material, and the arc extinguishing cover is made of arc resistant plastic and grid arc extinguishing method, which improves the short-circuit breaking ability and anti welding performance of the circuit breaker.

Note: When only two poles of the three pole overcurrent release are energized, the maximum current value specified in column y should be increased by 10%

Ordering Instructions
When placing an order, the product name, model, and specifications must be specified. The rated voltage, rated current, set current of the release, type and operation mode of the release. When operating the motor, the type of current and working voltage, wiring method, auxiliary contact combination, order quantity, and delivery date should be specified. If the user has special requirements, they should negotiate separately with the manufacturer.
