ZMA/BM pneumatic thin film sleeve regulating valve (hereinafter referred to as sleeve valve) is a commonly used product in pneumatic actuators. Since its successful trial production in the 1960s, it has been widely adopted abroad. Sleeve valves, like general straight through single and double seat regulating valves, can quantitatively control the flow rate based on a certain gas signal. Due to the characteristics of the sleeve valve structure, it is not only suitable for general use, but also for situations where there is a large pressure difference between the front and rear and low noise is required.
Sleeve valves have the following characteristics:
1. Large circulation capacity. The flow capacity of a sleeve valve is on average 20% greater than that of a straight through double seat valve of the same diameter.
2. Allow large pressure difference and good stability. Due to the use of a balanced valve plug structure, the unbalanced thrust exerted by the medium on the valve stem is relatively small, allowing for a larger pressure difference compared to straight through single seat valves. Under the same working conditions, due to the strong rigidity of the guiding structure, the valve stem is less prone to vibration during operation.
3. Strong adaptability. Due to the multiple functions contained in the sleeve valve, it can adapt to various usage requirements. If only one sleeve is replaced in the same diameter valve body, the flow capacity and flow characteristics can be changed.
4. Easy disassembly and assembly. Due to the simple structure of the sleeve valve, there is no need for threaded connection between the sleeve and the valve body. Therefore, on the process pipeline, the internal parts of the valve can be inspected and replaced without removing the valve body.
Due to the above characteristics, sleeve valves can replace straight through single or double seat regulating valves in most usage scenarios.
