Scope of application
The GC3 series reversible AC contactor is mainly suitable for circuits with rated insulation voltage of 690V at AC 50Hz (or 60Hz), rated working voltage of 380V under AC-3 usage category, and rated working current up to 500A level. It is used to control reversible operation or reverse braking of electric motors, and can prevent phase to phase short circuit during commutation of the motor. It is safer and more reliable than only electrical interlocking, and is combined with GR1 thermal relay of corresponding specifications to protect possible overload circuits.
