1、 Purpose:
The ZZE series electromagnetic power-off brake is mainly matched with the Y series motor to generate the YEJ series electromagnetic brake three-phase asynchronous motor. It is an ideal automation execution component in modern industry, which can achieve fast stopping, accurate positioning, reciprocating motion, frequent starting, and prevent sliding in various mechanical transmissions with special requirements.  

2、 Structural principle:
The ZZE series electromagnetic power-off brake is a friction brake with electromagnetic disengagement (release) and power-off spring pressure, which provides safe and reliable braking during power-off.  

The ZZE series electromagnetic power-off brake has the characteristics of manual release, lightweight, and labor-saving.  
The brake mainly consists of manual release screw (1), magnetic yoke (2), armature (3), spring (4), friction disc (5), mounting bolt (6), adjusting nut (7) and other components. When the electromagnetic coil in the magnetic yoke is energized, due to the electromagnetic attraction force, the magnetic yoke attracts the armature and compresses the spring, causing the friction disc to detach from the armature and equipment end cover, and the braking torque disappears; When the electromagnetic coil loses power, the brake loses its electromagnetic attraction, and the spring pushes the armature to press the friction disc, generating friction torque.  

3、 Installation:
Screw the installation bolt (6) into the equipment end cover, adjust the working air gap of the magnetic yoke and armature to the recommended initial installation air gap δ, and rotate the adjusting nut (7) in the opposite direction to tighten the equipment end cover. Three installation bolts are required within ZZE7.5-75, and four installation bolts are required starting from ZZE150. (Figure 1)

4、 Instructions for use:
1. This brake belongs to the dry type and must be able to work in an oil-free state; The ambient temperature shall not exceed 40 ℃, and the minimum temperature shall not be lower than -15 ℃; Altitude not exceeding 1000m; relative humidity of ambient air not exceeding 85%; The fluctuation of power supply voltage shall not exceed+5% and -15% of the rated voltage.
2. After the brake has been working normally for a period of time, if the working air gap is greater than the maximum allowable working air gap due to friction loss, the air gap should be adjusted to the recommended initial installation air gap.  

5、 Rectified power supply:
Our company has a rectifier power supply for brake working voltage, which is small in size and directly installed in the motor junction box. (Figure 2) (Figure 3) are the wiring diagrams of the rectifier power supply, where Z represents the brake coil and J represents the normally open contact of the AC contact; When braking slowly, the yellow and green wires are directly connected to one end of the brake coil; When braking quickly, as shown in Figure 3, separate the yellow and green wires and connect them to the normally open contact J.
