<1> Purpose:
The DHD series brake is a friction plate brake (hereinafter referred to as the brake) that applies spring pressure when the electromagnetic disengagement (release) power is cut off. It can be paired with electric motors to form a new type of brake motor, and can also be used in mechanical transmission systems to achieve fast parking and accurate positioning. It can be used in situations such as safe (emergency) braking when power is cut off. This type of brake has the advantages of simple structure, wide adaptability, low noise, and reliable braking, and is widely used in various mechanical transmission devices. It is an ideal actuator in industrial modernization. The automation of production technology requires ultra-thin power-off brakes (safety brakes) to meet the needs of various machinery such as robots and motors for different purposes with their excellent characteristics.
Structural characteristics of DHD series electromagnetic power-off brake:
1. The compact structure of the power-off brake has a small axial size, but the braking torque is large enough.
2. The rapid response to power failure of the brake is achieved by using a spring device to generate braking torque, and the spring reset time is the braking response time
3. Long lifespan: The use of new friction materials determines the performance of high lifespan in power loss braking.
The brake can reliably operate under the following conditions:
1. The relative humidity of the surrounding air is not greater than 85% (20 ± 5 ℃)
2. There is no gas or dust in the surrounding medium that can corrode metals and damage insulation.
3. B-level insulation is used around the brake, with voltage fluctuations not exceeding+5% and -15% of the rated voltage, and its working mode is continuous operation
4. During installation, the accuracy of the fit between the transmission shaft and the brake should be ensured.
5. The brake disc of the brake must be used without oil stains.
<2> Structure and working principle:
The brake is composed of a magnetic yoke, excitation coil, spring, brake disc, armature, spline sleeve, mounting screws, etc. The brake is installed at the rear end of the flange (or motor) of the equipment; The transmission shaft is connected to the spline sleeve and the brake disc.
When the excitation coil of the DHD series electromagnetic power-off brake is connected to the rated voltage (DC), the electromagnetic force attracts the armature, causing it to detach (release) from the brake disc. At this time, the transmission shaft runs or starts normally with the brake disc. When the transmission system separates or loses power, the brake also loses power. At this time, the spring applies pressure to the armature, forcing friction torque between the brake disc and the armature and flange, causing the transmission shaft to quickly stop rotating. When the cooling environment of the brake is poor and the transmission shaft works continuously for a long time, if conditions permit, the voltage can be maintained and converted to 70% -80% of the rated voltage after the brake works to reduce heat generation.
