2、 Schematic diagram of grounding short circuit of overhead line
Short circuit detection: As shown in the figure, when a short circuit fault occurs in the circuit, the short circuit fault indicator senses the fault current, and the display window of the indicator will change from white to red (or from no light to light). Based on the fact that the B-phase indicators 2, 5, 8 on Line 2 and the C-phase indicators 3, 6, and 9 on Line 3 have flipped over (or lit up), while the indicators 11 and 12 have not flipped over (or lit up), it can be quickly determined that the fault is at point D.

Grounding detection principle: Grounding detection principle: Sample the first half wave of the capacitance current at the moment of grounding and the first half wave of the voltage at the moment of grounding, compare their phases. When the capacitance current at the moment of sampling grounding suddenly changes and exceeds a certain value, and is in phase with the first half wave of the voltage at the moment of grounding, and the wire to ground voltage decreases at the same time, it is judged that the line has been grounded. Otherwise, the line has not been grounded. As shown in the figure, if the indicators 3, 6, and 9 of phase C on line 2 flip over and the indicator 12 still does not move, it can be determined that a grounding fault has occurred at point D.
