Installation
Refer to the external drawing for installation. The operation monitor is connected in series between the lightning arrester and the ground. During installation, first install the monitor with M10 × 40 bolts near the lightning arrester base for easy testing and observation. Connect the grounding busbar, and then connect the high-voltage output terminal with M10 × 30 bolts and busbar to the two φ 15 installation holes on the insulation base of the lightning arrester. The installed monitor should not have any obvious tilting phenomenon. At this point, record the number indicated by the counter or adjust it to zero to put it into operation. Record the leakage current value (milliampere meter reading) after the power grid is energized for future comparative analysis.
6、 User Notice
Before and after 1-2 years of operation, the monitor should undergo a simple on-site inspection, which includes:
(1) Measure the resistance value between the high-voltage output terminal of the monitor and the ground with a multimeter. When the battery voltage of the multimeter is sufficient, the monitor should be at several tens of K Ω. There should be no short circuits or open circuits, otherwise the leakage current measurement function will fail.
(2) Using a simple method to detect the performance of the monitor's actions
Connect one 1000V shaker and two 600V 10 μ F capacitors in parallel.
Testing steps: First, rotate the shaking table to charge the capacitor. After the charging is stable, while maintaining the shaking table speed, disconnect the charging circuit. Then quickly discharge the fully charged capacitor to both ends of the monitor once. The counter should record once. If it can operate accurately and reliably for 10 consecutive tests, it is considered that the monitor has good performance.
