Scope of application

The HD17 series knife shaped isolator (hereinafter referred to as the isolator) is suitable for power isolation in industrial distribution equipment with AC 50Hz, rated working voltage up to AC 380V, DC up to 220V, and agreed heating current up to 1600A. Products with arc extinguishing chambers can be used to connect or disconnect AC circuits under specified conditions.

Model and its meaning


Structural features of HD17 series knife switch

The isolators with various operating modes use single blades for 200-400A and double blades for 630-1600A. The contact pressure is obtained by installing leaf springs on both sides. The contacts connected to the blades and external wires are tinned to strengthen surface protection and improve contact resistance with the wires.
The isolator with lever transmission mechanism is equipped with an arc extinguishing chamber for cutting off the rated working current to ensure safety and reliability when disconnecting the circuit. The arc extinguishing chamber is made of insulation cardboard and steel plate grating, which are riveted together. The arc extinguishing chamber is installed by fastening it to the bracket of the spring clip, making installation and disassembly extremely convenient. Isolators of different specifications all use the same type of transmission mechanism, which has clear opening and closing indicators and reliable positioning devices. Each end of the isolator has clear markings for identification.

The central front lever driven isolator is mainly used for installation on the switch board. In order to facilitate the design and installation of the switch board, the longitudinal installation dimensions of 200-1600A are the same.
The installation plate of the isolator is made of phenolic glass fiber compression molded plastic, which has excellent insulation, voltage resistance, and mechanical strength.

The mechanical operation performance of the isolator is 1000 times (100A, 200A, 400A) and 500 times (630A, 1000A, 1600A) respectively
