I. Purpose
The SDZ1 electromagnetic power-off safety brake is mainly matched with Y series motors and electric hoist reducers to achieve functions such as fast stopping, accurate positioning, frequent starting, and safe braking (risk prevention) in case of power failure.
This type of brake has the advantages of compact structure, easy installation, wide applicability, low noise, high working frequency, sensitive action, and reliable braking. It is an ideal automation actuator in industrial modernization.
2、 Working principle and installation maintenance
This series of electromagnetic power-off safety brakes mainly consists of excitation parts (yoke 1, coil 2, spring 3, armature 4), brake disc 7, spline sleeve 8 and other main components. The excitation part is installed on the machine base by installing bolt 6. Rotate bolt 6 to adjust the air gap to the recommended initial installation air gap value δ (see the installation size parameter table), and then reverse rotate hollow bolt 5 to tighten the excitation part. The spline sleeve is connected to the drive shaft through rectangular splines; Brake disc 7 and spline sleeve 8 are engaged through involute splines. When the coil is powered off, under the action of spring force, friction is generated between the brake disc 7 and the end faces of the armature 4 and the machine base 9, which is transmitted to the transmission shaft through the spline sleeve 8 to brake the shaft. After the coil is energized, under the action of electromagnetic force, the armature 4 is attracted towards the magnetic yoke 1, causing the brake disc 7 to release and the transmission shaft brake to be released.
Before installation, the friction pair surface should be cleaned of oil stains and debris. After working for a period of time, due to the wear of friction materials, the working air gap of the brake is too large. It is necessary to adjust the working air gap to the recommended initial installation air gap value δ in a timely manner to avoid affecting normal operation.
