1、 Purpose and Characteristics
The WSDZ1 series miniature electromagnetic power-off brake is a friction brake that is powered on to engage (release) and powered off by a spring, and can be matched with micro motors. Widely used in automatic mechanical transmission systems such as door machine drive, electric wheelchairs, warehouse automatic control, stage and theater machinery, automatic doors, medical equipment, stepper motors, etc., it plays a role in fast parking, safety braking, etc.
This type of brake has the characteristics of compact and simple structure, quick installation, low noise, and smooth braking. It has two functions: braking and holding, and is an ideal automation execution component.
2、 Working principle and installation maintenance
The micro electromagnetic power-off brake is mainly composed of main components such as magnetic yoke assembly 10, spring 9, armature 8, brake disc 5, connecting plate 6, and shaft sleeve 2. Assemble the brake as a whole, tighten the air gap adjustment screw 1, adjust the air gap to the specified value δ, install the shaft sleeve 2 on the motor shaft, fix the shaft with a retaining ring in the axial direction, and tighten it with three set screws in the radial direction. The brake is installed on the motor end cover 4 through the connecting plate 6 and the installation screw 7, and the shaft sleeve 2 is connected to the transmission shaft; The brake disc 5 and the shaft sleeve 2 are matched on the side of a polyhedron. When the electromagnetic coil is powered off, under the action of spring 9, friction is generated between brake disc 5, armature 8, and connecting plate 6, which is transmitted to the transmission shaft through shaft sleeve 2 to brake the shaft. When the electromagnetic coil is energized, under the action of electromagnetic force, the armature 8 is attracted towards the magnetic yoke, causing the brake disc 5 to release and the transmission shaft brake to be released.
Installation precautions
The brake operates under dry conditions, and before installation, the friction pair surface should be cleaned of oil and debris.
The brake has already adjusted the air gap at the factory and does not require any adjustment.
After working for a period of time, due to the wear of the friction plate on the brake disc, it is necessary to readjust the working air gap of the brake.
When operating and braking frequently, it is necessary to regularly check whether the fasteners are loose. If they are loose, they should be readjusted and tightened before use.
When the brake is installed on the motor, if the motor has difficulty starting or produces noise, the brake should be checked and adjusted according to Article 2 of this manual.
During installation, the end face of the brake disc should be perpendicular to the motor shaft (with a perpendicularity tolerance accuracy level of not less than level 8).
