The current situation of YP series (pressure type) hydraulic dynamometer in China

YP series (pressure type) hydraulic dynamometer (hydraulic dynamometer), also known as water vortex flow dynamometer, has been widely used abroad as early as the 1960s and 1970s. In 1985, the technology of Zoller Company from West Germany was introduced through licensed trade, and the series of dynamometers were developed and produced domestically. At present, this process technology has matured in China and has been widely used in the production of a full range of products.

Its structure consists of a housing that can swing on rolling bearings and a rotor that is mounted on the main shaft. The mechanical energy output by the power machine is converted into heat energy here, and the water entering the shell is absorbed and discharged away. The concave pits on the rotor and the concave pits on the left and right side shells form a working chamber, causing water to generate vortices and carry away heat energy.

·The rotor and stator are both made of stainless steel material and have a concave groove structure.
·Adopting contactless sealing technology.
·By controlling the drainage butterfly valve, the working pressure inside the chamber can be changed to alter the absorption load.
·Quick response. Because by changing the opening of the drainage valve, the working pressure inside the chamber changes instantly. Through the automatic closed-loop control of electronic control instruments, it can be easily and quickly stabilized to the required load value. The transition time from one operating condition to another is 4 seconds.
·Due to technological advancements, the price of YP series products has approached that of D series hydraulic dynamometers and has become the dominant type of internal combustion engine dynamometer equipment.
·Small size, easy installation, convenient maintenance, and long service life.
·Wide applicability and complete power spectrum. The minimum power range is 1-20kW, and the maximum range can test 10000kW (the maximum test power introduced domestically is 35000kW).
·High testing accuracy, stable and reliable operation.
