The CWY-DO eddy current sensor consists of a probe and a preamplifier. The eddy current probe has a coil wound inside, which forms a high-frequency oscillation circuit with the oscillation circuit inside the preamplifier. When the eddy current sensor works, it generates eddy current effect on the surface of the measured metal. When the distance between the probe and the measured metal surface changes, the magnetic field generated by the eddy current on the metal surface changes the impedance of the oscillator composed of the probe and the preamplifier. Therefore, the change in distance between the probe and the measured surface can be measured by the change in the impedance of the probe coil.
