The S96 dielectric loss testing device is compatible with various high-frequency Q-meters and can be used to measure the dielectric constant and dielectric loss coefficient (loss tangent) of insulation materials. The S96 dielectric loss testing device is a replacement product of the S94, which uses a digital microscope measurement device, making it easy to read and accurate in data. The testing device consists of an LCD digital display micro measuring device and a pair of flat capacitor plates with adjustable spacing. Flat capacitor plates are used to clamp the tested material sample, while micro measuring devices display the thickness of the tested material sample. The S96 dielectric loss testing device must be equipped with a Q-meter as a tuning indicator instrument to measure the tangent value of the insulation material loss angle by observing the change in Q-value when the tested material sample is placed in a flat capacitor and not placed in the sample. The dielectric constant of the insulation material can be converted from the variation in the reading value of the spacing between the flat plates of the capacitor.
