The incoming line reactor is used to limit the current surge caused by voltage fluctuations and operating overvoltages in the power grid, smooth out peak pulses contained in the power supply voltage, or smooth out voltage defects generated during the commutation of the bridge rectifier circuit. It can prevent interference from the power grid and reduce the pollution of harmonic currents generated by the rectifier unit to the power grid.
