Overview of EKL1 Fault Indicator:
Short circuit and ground fault indicator is a device used to detect short circuit and ground faults. In the ring network distribution system, especially in systems that extensively use ring network load switches, if a short circuit fault or grounding fault occurs in the next and distribution network systems, the higher-level power supply system must be disconnected within the specified time to prevent major accidents. By using this product, the faulty part can be marked. Maintenance personnel can quickly locate the faulty section based on the alarm signal of this indicator, disconnect the faulty section, and promptly restore power supply to the fault free section, which can save a lot of work time, reduce power outage time and scope.
The EKL series grounding and short-circuit fault display includes models: EKL1, EKL2, EKL3, EKL4.
EKL product features:
1. Short circuit alarm indication: The short circuit sensor constantly detects the current in the power supply line. When its value reaches or exceeds the short-circuit current activation alarm setting value (which can be set before leaving the factory according to user requirements), the short circuit sensor sends an alarm signal. After the host receives this signal through optical fiber, it generates an alarm indication signal (the indicator light flashes rapidly).
2. Grounding alarm indication: When the grounding sensor detects that the current in the grounding line reaches or exceeds the grounding current threshold (which can be set before leaving the factory according to user requirements), an alarm signal is sent. After the host receives this signal through cable or optical fiber, a corresponding alarm indication signal is generated (the indicator light flashes).
3. Low battery warning indicator: When the battery voltage inside the indicator drops from 3.6V to 2.7V, an alarm signal is generated to prompt maintenance personnel to replace the battery.
4. Remote transmission of alarm information: The indicator host can drive corresponding relay actions based on different alarm indication signals for remote signal transmission.
5. Automatic reset: When the indicator generates an alarm, within the set time, if there is no manual reset, the indicator can be automatically reset.
6. Testing and resetting: When the indicator generates an alarm and the fault is eliminated (the indicator light flashes slowly), the alarm status can be cleared by pressing the button on the indicator host panel. In normal state (without alarm signal), press and hold the button on the front panel for 1 second. The short circuit and grounding alarm indicators on the panel will flash, and the fault remote relay will be engaged, indicating that the working state is normal. After becoming slow flashing (2 seconds later), press this button again to restore normal operation.
