The ZN82-12 vacuum circuit breaker adopts the world's advanced miniaturization and high-performance arc extinguishing chamber manufacturing technology. The contact is made of low current level copper chromium alloy, with small current flow (below 3.5A) and operating overvoltage less than 2.0 times. The shape of the contact part is deliberately processed, with a longitudinal rotating magnetic field for arc extinguishing below 31.5kA and a transverse rotating magnetic field for arc extinguishing above 40kA, which can prevent local overheating of the contact surface, reduce contact wear, extend contact life, and have a rated short-circuit current breaking frequency of not less than 100 times.

The ZN82-12 vacuum circuit breaker is equipped with an electric motor spring type operating mechanism, which can be used as both AC and DC power sources. It has a small operating current and a spring energy storage time of less than 5 seconds, making it suitable for frequent operating situations.

The configuration of the operating mechanism and the main switch body is reasonable, the mechanical performance is stable and reliable, the bounce is less than 2ms, and the mechanical life is up to 30000 times.

The circuit breaker has complete auxiliary functions: it comes with anti bounce function and low-voltage capacitor release, with up to three auxiliary switches and multiple reserved contacts for backup. There are 64 pairs of secondary contact points, and there is a reliable mechanical interlock with the handcart position. At the same time, the control power supply can be AC or DC, with strong adaptability.  

The 40kA vacuum circuit breaker still has a fast reclosing function (O-0.3S-CO-180S-CO) due to its advanced arc extinguishing chamber design and excellent manufacturing.
